In Memory of Sir George Martin

The year of 2016 may be noted as sad year for music lovers. The world has lost yet another important figure . Legendary rock producer George Martin has passed away at the age of 90. Martin a native of London, was a tall, tender, musical miracle whose musical talent wrapped itself around the hearts of artists and fans across the globe. 

Martin’s reputation is unmatched. The music legend is the renowned winner of six Grammys. In 1999, he was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. Guinness

World Records has deemed Martin the most successful music producer ever, noting his accomplishment of producing more than 50 No. 1 hit records over the span of five decades in the United States, as well as Britain.

The name George Martin is synonymous with the legendary rock band The Beatles because of his incredible contributions to the music and level of achieved success. Markedly, the producer was a main contributor on hit songs such as “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, “Yesterday”, “Love Me” and “Eleanor Rigby”. Martin’s resume also includes working with phenomenal   artist like Jeff Beck, Celine Dion, and Elton John.  If these elements are not enough to cause admiration for the mainstream marvel, then consider the fact that in 1996, Martin was knighted by Queen Elizabeth the II.

 George Martin was a trailblazer for introducing a classical background that gave a creative and genius edge to modern unrefined music. The name George Martin will go down in history as one of the most influential, and impactive musical legends who has ever lived.
